Young Entrepreneurs face many challenges, have many obstacles to overcome and many failures to experiences when starting a business. Fortunately if one has the right mindset, they are eager to learn and they’re able to understand that every failure is actually a success. You see, each time an attempt is made to do something in your business whether it be trying a new marketing strategy, hiring a new employee, or experimenting with outsourcing no matter how much planning and strategic thinking goes into it, it’s inevitable that failures will occur.
I believe that the best way to gain wisdom and make progress in business is by making as many failures as possible as early as possible so that you can know what does not work and have a better perspective for what will work.
Most young entrepreneurs I speak with usually suffer from what I like to refer to as analysis paralysis. They’re so caught up in researching and evaluating what is the best way to do something that they become paralyzed by an overload of information and are unable to take any action because of this.
I feel that one of the most important points for young entrepreneurs to understand is that just about everything in business boils down to the power of 1. Here’s my take on this philosophy:
Pretty much everything in business always boils down to the #1, rather than worrying about irrelevant details or things out of our control, we really need to ask ourselves, “What’s the #1 action I can take right now to have my life and business where I want it to be tomorrow, next week, in 6 months, in 5 years?”
Too many young entrepreneurs get caught up in analysis paralysis because they try to juggle too many things too often unsuccessfully and yet they still continue these futile efforts. This is a big hinderance and stifles the growth of many small businesses which forces the entrepreneur to only be self employed and not a business owner.
What we all really need to understand is that business truly is all about the power of 1. Here are some quick tips to give you more insight on this and help you to take proper action:
- Block out all distraction and gain focus on the #1 most important thing in your business that will bring success the fastest
- Then you must gain clarity and focus on the #1 most important thing that you must do to make your #1 success driver work
- Next you must do that #1 action that #1 action item, 1 day at a time and you will make your #1 success driver thrive
- The other #1 to focus on is what’s the #1 benefit your product or service provides your customers
- Use that #1 benefit to find your #1 target customer profile and use that to find your #1 unique niche
- Then do the #1 task each day focused within your nice, one day at a time
As you can see all it takes is just the simple number 1 to build a business and become a successful young entrepreneur – 1 thought, 1 idea, 1 person, 1 dream, 1 notion, 1 company, 1 action only once to become #1.
So I ask you, what’s the #1 most important action you can take right now today that will put you one step closer to achieving your business goals?
And if you struggle with big projects or time consuming tasks, just take it one step at a time and pick something that can be done in less than 30 minutes just so you can get a jump start in the right direction and build on that momentum the next day.
